We're halfway through 2025, and if you're like most people, those January wellness intentions might be feeling a little... dusty. Before you spiral into guilt or start making unrealistic promises to "get back on track," let's have an honest conversation about where you really are.
I've got a question that might make you squirm a little: How's your wellness actually going?
Not the Instagram version. Not what you tell people when they ask. The real, honest, behind-the-scenes truth.
My Reality Check
Here's mine: Some days I nail my morning routine and feel like a wellness guru. Other days I'm eating cereal for dinner and wondering why I thought I could help other people figure their stuff out. That's the reality of this work – it's messy, inconsistent, and definitely not linear.

Three Reality Check Questions (No BS Required)
1. What wellness habit are you pretending still works for you?
Maybe it's that meditation app you haven't opened in months or the journal gathering dust on your nightstand. It's okay to admit something isn't serving you anymore.
2. Where are you being too hard on yourself?
I see this constantly – clients beating themselves up for not being "perfect" at their healing journey. Spoiler alert: There's no perfect way to do this.
3. What's one thing that's actually working?
Even if everything feels chaotic, there's usually something small that's making a difference. Maybe it's taking three deep breaths before checking your phone, or saying no to one thing that drains your energy.
The Truth About Mid-Year Check-Ins
The truth is, mid-year wellness check-ins aren't about having everything figured out. They're about getting honest about where you are so you can adjust course without the guilt trip.
If you're reading this thinking "I need to get my act together," pause right there. You don't need to get your act together – you need to get real about what's actually sustainable for your life right now.
This Week's Challenge
Pick one thing that's genuinely working for you and do more of it. Skip the stuff that makes you feel guilty. We'll tackle the rest later.
Your wellness doesn't need to look like anyone else's. It just needs to be honest.
